Overview
Ariel Re has longstanding relationships with the large clients and intermediaries within Marine and Specialty. Our Marine and Specialty book is comprised of M&E, S&T, Aviation, Multi-line, and Aerospace.
The portfolio is predominantly written on an excess of loss (XOL) basis. For London, business standard LMA forms are used, which have been constructed on the basis of the Joint Excess of Loss Committee (“JELC”) Excess Loss Clauses.
Coverage Amounts
Ariel Re generally offers up to $35 million in capacity across its marine and specialty reinsurance classes. We offer cover on both a reinsurance and retro basis. Attachment points vary by cedent and line of business and range from remote excess of loss protection to low return period coverage.
Geographic Focus
We write on a worldwide basis.
